Return Tape
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
I wanted to lay the spirits of “Ghost Tape Number 10” to rest, so I made a lake-portal for them to leave through. Each ghost has its own personality and emits a song made by resynthesizing the audio data in “Ghost Tape Number 10.” Walk with them to listen.
Donations
At the end of the year any payments will be rounded up to a convenient number and donated to the Coalition for Rainforest Nations . If you choose not to donate, or prefer to donate directly on their website, feel free to click the button labeled "no thanks, just take me to the downloads." If you contribute at least $8, you'll also get the full-quality soundtrack (eight songs, each about two minutes, plus the forest ambience). So far we've raised $50!

Thanks for playing my game, TsukuruHouse!
While there's only so much to Return Tape, I appreciate the idea and inspiration behind it. Overall, it's a short and relaxing walk across an island while watching a ghostly light show. Not a bad way to spend a few minutes.
Good job, dev.Wow, thanks for the review Skydjinn! I appreciate your time & feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the game. In my mind each ghost is distinct and leaves after passing through the lake: I only recycled the eight animations and songs for simplicity. I did use a few Asset Packs from the Unity Store; a critical one was these beautiful palm trees: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/vegetation/trees/yughues-free-palm-trees-13540 Also, the Easter egg toward the end of your video really spooked me out… !
